Dreams in the Dark at the Drive-Through Window

The main objective of the story is about Gloria Castillo, an inner city person struggling in the work indrusty. She is a young married woman, with two children, that got pregnant at the ages of 13 and 14.

The profile covers points of views from her own words. She explains that she has never worked with white people, and at her work place there is lots of hatred. That being robbed could happen at the drop of a dime because of the night shift she works.

I found out that she is a survivor and doesn't let much get her down. She cares for her kids tremendously because she's willing to work anywhere for them. Even though her job can be potentially dangerous and the pay is terrible.

What I found amazing about her is she is not quitting on life, like most young woman do in her situation. She is atttending community college to one day be a paralegal. She is just flat out doing what she has to do to make a better life for herself. Like she says, " I am not asking for much."
